On October 24, the 12th "Transportation Services Market: Interaction and Partnership" International Conference took place at Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel, Moscow.
The participants of the conference included representatives of Russia's Government, Federation Council of Russia, Russia's State Duma, Ministry of Transportation of Russia, Federal Tariff Service, Russian Railways, OJSC, operator companies, etc.
Globaltrans Group was represented at the conference by Sergei Maltsev, its Director General, and Valery Shpakov, Director General of New Forwarding Company, OJSC.
Sergei Maltsev took part in the plenary discussion "Carriage process. New approaches to improvement of quality of customer care". In his speech, he touched on a number of key issues concerning the development of the industry. In particular, he reported on proposals of the Consumer Council for Activities of Russian Railways, OJSC and its Subsidiaries (he was appointed chairman of the council in May this year) with regard to a range of measures aimed at improvement of efficiency and customer focus of this natural monopoly.
As a part of business-related program of the event, the following topics were discussed: issues of balancing the interests of carriage process participants; criteria of customer care quality; carriage under conditions of a limited infrastructure; principles of establishment of a unified logistics system, etc.
