The first meeting dedicated to the technological cooperation of enterprises belonging to Metalloinvest Company with rolling stock operating companies - Ferrotrans, New Forwarding Company (a part of Globaltrans Group), and Russian Railways, - was held at Lebedinskiy mining and processing plant. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Metalloinvest Management Company, Lebedinsky and Mikhailovsky mining and processing plants, Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant (OEMK), South Eastern Railway (SER), Moscow Railway as well as operating companies. The meeting was held by First Deputy CEO, Commercial Director of Metalloinvest Management Company Nazim Efendiyev. The participants of the meeting summed up the results of a yearlong cooperation between the factories and carriers, analyzed the efficiency and quality of interaction, discussed the current problems and ways of their solution.
"We have taken a decision to meet in order to analyze the cooperation, detect the bottlenecks," First Deputy CEO of New Forwarding Company, JSC, Vyacheslav Stanislavsky said. "We are grateful to Metalloinvest Management Company for having organized the meeting; it was a very useful event. Generally speaking, all parties are satisfied with the cooperation: we have been fulfilling our obligations concerning the provision of railcars, Metalloinvest Management Company has been shipping the products".
As part of the three-year partnership contract concluded by Metalloinvest Management Company and Globaltrans Group in 2012, the rolling stock operating companies - Ferrotrans and New Forwarding Company, being the part of the group, - undertook to deliver the Metalloinvest's goods (concentrate, pellets, briquettes, iron and steel products) to customers. In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed the results of cooperation and noted that those results were mostly positive. Over the past year, particularly during summer renovations, the so-called "windows" (transportation failures) have not been observed. Metalloinvest fulfilled all its obligations to supply the customers.
"We really learned to work in a new environment. Our partners - Ferrotrans and New Forwarding Company - have proved themselves as professionals. On their part, they are also glad with our work and the way we run our business," Nazim Effendiyev commented on the results of the meeting. "I think that the meeting has been a success since it included an honest exchange of views. Such meetings are very important for our company. They give us an opportunity to optimize logistics flows, improve their planning, reduce downtime and costs. I am very pleased and happy with the fact that everyone supported the idea of having a meeting held."
The next similar meeting is planned to be held at Mikhailovsky mining and processing plant.
