NPK DEPUTY HEAD MIKHAIL F. ODAYSKI REPORTED AT THE II INTERNATIONAL CONFERRENCE “IRON AND NON-FERROUS SCRAP”.

On February 22 the second international conference “Iron and non-ferrous scrap” arranged by RUSMET company and MOSCOW STEEL & ALLOYS INSITIUTE was finished in Moscow where leading managers and experts in foreign and domestic scrap picking and metallurgy, representatives of governmental institutions and journalists took part.

Among the subjects discussed were scrap picking & processing, legislative changes, governmental regulation, customs supervision and future prospects of scrap picking industry.

During the plenary session NPK Deputy Head Mikhail F. Odayski delivered a report on “Freight transportation market situation” and shared experience of “NOVAYA PEREVOZOCHNAYA KOMPANIYA” in the area of iron and non-ferrous scrap transportation.

The second part of report was devoted to the advantages of cooperation with a large operator in comparison with other market players. In the NPK’s management opinion the advantages are as follows: provision of services of higher quality due to availability of its own wagon fleet, a dispatch center and representative offices in main regions which allows to efficiently coordinate transportation operations.
